In this class we will be using props such as bolsters to support the body in various ways. These supports allow us to maintain the pose with less effort so that we can bring our attention and awareness within, gradually quieting down the mental chatter. Through these supported poses we will practice to cultivate awareness and ease in our breathing. From ancient times, yoga practitioners have sensed the relationship of the body, mind, and breath, how all three impact and are connected to each other. We will seek to experience this relationship through the practice.
This class is appropriate for all levels: beginners new to Iyengar yoga and our studio are welcome as well as students currently attending level 1-2 classes.
