Finding Balance with Yoga During Stressful Times
with Jito Yumibe & Nicole Levine

February 7 (Saturday)
at 2:00 pm

Class length
120 minutes

Location
IYSB Studio

In this workshop, we will discuss some of the physiological changes that occur when we are experiencing stress and how our body seeks to return to a state of balance. We will practice a sequence of poses to explore how yoga can buffer some of the symptoms of stress and help the body/mind come back to balance. With practice, yoga not only can lessen the immediate effects of stress but can be a preventative to the build-up of chronic stress. This is through the awareness that develops with practice over a long period of time as one realizes there is a choice in how one reacts to the stressors of life.

This class is appropriate for all levels of students. You do not need experience with yoga or Iyengar yoga to attend.

This class is co-taught with Jito Yumibe and Nicole Levine.
