In this workshop we will practice postures and adaptations of postures to bring greater awareness of the alignment of the head, neck, and shoulders. How rare it is in our digital age to carry the head and neck over the spine below. The further we are from this alignment the greater the tensions in the upper back, shoulders and neck. Yoga practice can help relieve these tensions through creating space for better alignment and strengthening the musculature to hold this better alignment in every day life. Yoga is not a one time fix, but an on-going practice that increases our awareness of how we carry ourselves through life.
This class is open to anyone who experiences stiffness and/or tension in the neck and shoulders. No experience of Iyengar yoga or yoga is necessary to attend.

Refund Policy for Workshops
A full refund (minus credit card fees and a $10 cancelation fee) will be issued for all workshop cancelations that are received three days prior to the workshop date. This notification must be sent via email to
[email protected].
If a cancelation is received less than three days prior, you will receive a 50% refund (minus credit card fees and a $10 cancelation fee) only if your space can be filled from a waiting list. There are no refunds for no-shows.
You may also choose to donate your space to our scholarship fund for students in need. We will always try to fill your space.
